Message of the Chairman HERA

I am honoured to assume the responsibility of Chairman, Higher Education Regulatory Authority, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. HERA has been entrusted with the important mandate of ensuring quality, transparency, and compliance in the higher education sector. As Chairman, my foremost priority is to first establish a strong culture of accountability, transparency, and institutional governance within HERA itself. This foundation will serve as a model for all private higher education institutions under the Authority’s jurisdiction, promoting adherence to academic standards and effective governance across the sector.

In line with the vision of the Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Meena Khan Afridi and the policy priorities of the provincial government, we are committed to working closely with the Higher Education Department, Higher Education Commission, relevant accreditation councils, universities, colleges, and other stakeholders to ensure sustainable and quality-driven development of higher education in the province. Our focus will remain on student welfare, quality assurance, regulatory reforms, and the effective use of technology to enhance service delivery. I am confident that through collective efforts, constructive engagement, and continued support, we will translate the vision of the provincial government into tangible outcomes and achieve HERA’s objectives for the benefit of students, institutions, and society at large.
